Are you feeling sad, tired, or unmotivated? Has anxiety, guilt, or shame started to dictate the decisions you make? These symptoms can overwhelm us, keeping us from engaging in the relationships and activities that matter most. As a licensed clinical social worker, I help people living with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also specialize in working with creative people struggling to balance different identities, goals, and responsibilities in their lives.

This site focuses on my views of mental health, but most of my work goes toward helping people directly. I am trained in several types of therapy. Those include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal therapy. However, everybody is different! I customize our therapy to your specific needs.

I see therapy as being collaborative. It is your safe space. If you like the tone and content on my blog, you’ve probably started getting a sense of how I approach talk therapy.

Mental health providers must be licensed in the states they practice in. I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist working with people online in the state of California. In my experience, doing therapy over video gives clients great flexibility and convenience. Above all, it works! I wrote this article on how teletherapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person for most people.
